EastCoast Tours News...Our Awesome Alan accepts another astonishing accolade!!
Just in case anyone has been living under a rock for the past month and hasn't watched the local news, read the Daily Mirror or perused the local press, our esteemed Tours Co-ordinator Alan Fidler has only managed to pick up a national award for his services!!
Alan has won the national Visit England and Daily Mirror Tourism Superstar Award.
This award is recognition for the years of effort Alan has put into development of the tours side of our business. Working with our partners at DFDS Seaways he has put in many hours 'behind the scenes' to develop the highly praised tours to Alnwick — now being expanded to Cragside and Hadrian's Wall.
Alan's boundless enthusiasm for all things Northumbrian (regrettably this enthusiasm extends to the Northumbrian pipes) has now been recognised by Visit England — the national tourism promotion agency for England.
Visitors from around the world have testified to his devotion and total commitment to ensuring that any tour Alan guides is lively and thought-provoking. Bringing to the attention of those new to the area the fantastic history and heritage of a region which has played a crucial but for many an unrecognised part in the history of our country.
