For Drivers
We can provide brand new vehicles, already plated, metered and fitted with kit ready to go.
Alternatively, if you have your own vehicle we would be happy to welcome you. You must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of one year.
There is excellent earning potential of £30k+ per year (based on 4/5 days of work per week) once you are fully experienced in our trade. There are even grants available to help to get you started.
No experience is necessary, we guide you through the whole process from applying for your taxi badge, gaining a grant to help fund your licence, insuring your vehicle for 'hire and reward', plating your vehicle, installing your GPS and data equipment through to arranging a taximeter installation.
Once you are 'ready for the road' you will receive full training in the use of the equipment in your vehicle, with tips and advice on how to manage on a daily basis.
Once 'on the road' and working, we will be there for any assistance that you may need. Our Driver Helpline is manned 24 hours a day for any queries that arise in the first few weeks of your new profession and our Administration Office is available Monday to Friday to help you with any aspect of being a self-employed taxi driver.

What you get for your circuit charges
- The best and newest data equipment. We have the best data system available in the UK at present and we are constantly upgrading the system and introducing new facilities. Our new E-Booking facility is going to be very popular and ground breaking with business customers.
- Up to date we have spent over £250,000 on data and computer equipment. A dispatch system that is always on 'auto' and never on 'manual', which means that all decisions are made by the system and never by operators who always have their favourites.
- We have an advertising budget of over £30,000 per annum. How many of you, when you shop around for an office, ask the operator what their advertising budget is? Think about it, if the company name is kept in the public eye this will give that office the edge. With ads such as weekly press, full page colour back page of local tourist guides, reverse side of theatre tickets, numerous event programmes, local magazines, info stands in hotels, bars and restaurants, and many, many more.
- All drivers working our circuit receive a Drivers' Handbook that covers every aspect of the job, with helpful and very important information. This booklet gives you a shortcut to what would normally take years of experience to learn.
- We are constantly 'out there' looking for new opportunities, deals, promotions, etc. More recently we have come to some mutually beneficial working arrangements with DFDS Seaways, Port of Tyne, and many more businesses who are impressed with our standards and our service.
- We have freephone facilities in major supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, etc. All these lines have to be paid for and the concession charges are not cheap.
- We have a manned 24 hour drivers' line. If you have any queries whatsoever during your first few weeks, our Dispatcher will attempt to answer your questions.
- If you are new to the job it can be a very daunting and confusing time, so our staff will try to help you every step of the way.
- Our offices are manned 24 hours a day, we have CCTV in every part of our offices, we digitally record every single phone call that comes into the office, many details are taken with each job, including customer contact details for your safety which makes us fully accountable.
- We take driver security very seriously and have an ‘emergency code’ for you to input on your data head should you ever feel threatened. As soon as you activate the code the computer system stops and concentrates on you, your position is flashed onto all the computer screens in the office via our SatNav equipment installed in your vehicle and everyone is immediately aware of your location without you having to do anything else.
- We operate our own in-house Insurance scheme. We can provide fully comprehensive insurance for £50.00 per week via our Admin office. We are FSA registered and our experienced staff can follow through the paperwork on every claim leaving you free to carry on earning with one of our company cars.
- In addition to this, if your vehicle is off the road for a couple of days for whatever reason and we have pool vehicles spare, we will loan you a vehicle for a couple of days at no charge.
- We operate a texting service for all of the drivers on our circuit. EastCoast is a 'flexi' office as opposed to shifts, this means that you can work when you want to. Sometimes when weather or events intervene, we can become very busy very quickly. If there are not enough vehicles on the circuit a text will be sent to your mobile phone informing you that extra drivers are needed and that some earning potential is available; in effect we 'tip you off'.
